Who are we?

  • Simon and Ann are both qualified teachers with decades of experience safeguarding and supporting children in primary and secondary schools
  • They have been training Designated Safeguarding Leads and other senior leaders for many years, working closely with schools, academies, Early Years settings and FE colleges
  • They have expertise in safeguarding, allegations management, safer recruitment, online safety and auditing having worked as Safeguarding in Education Officers for a Local Authority in the East Midlands
  • Simon and Ann have also been invited to speak about safeguarding in education at regional, national and international child protection conferences as experts in this field

  • Includes lunch
  • This training is for school and college leaders or governors. Also useful for out of school clubs etc who may use schools as a venue
  • It is a 'Safer Recruitment Consortium' course 
  • It meets the statutory requirement for at least one person in a school to be trained in safer recruitment
  • It is based on Part 3 of "Keeping children safe in education"
  • A one-day course
  • Includes lunch
  • This course is for DSLs and senior leaders in schools, academies and colleges who have responsibility to manage incidents of child-on-child sexual violence and harassment 
  • It is based on Part 5 of "Keeping children safe in education"
  • It is focussed on LLR Procedures
  • Delegates from across the East Midlands are welcome 
  • A one-day course
  • Includes lunch
  • This training is for Headteachers, Principals, Chairs of Governors and MAT senior leaders
  • When an allegation is made against a staff member it is important to follow the correct procedures and refer to the Designated Officer at the local authority (LADO)
  • The training is based on Part 4 of "Keeping children safe in education" 
  • It is a half-day course - morning only
  • Simon and Ann offer a range of safeguarding training and consultancy for new headteachers, DSLs etc
